  • Grammer consistently expands presence in the Japanese construction machinery sector
  • ErgoPlus control pod carrier revolutionizes working comfort and ergonomics on excavators and other construction machinery
  • Modular platform for all applications worldwide

Grammer AG, May 25, 2022 – With a good 20 percent share of the global market, the Japanese construction machinery industry is a real heavyweight in its segment. Grammer AG is reinforcing its presence in this key market and will be showcasing its solutions for greater working comfort and ergonomics in excavators and the like at the fourth Construction & Survey Productivity Improvement Expo (CSPI) in Chiba.

The special highlight at the booth is the MSG 97G/732. This high-end seat with optimized side contour adaptation and powerful air-conditioning system offers maximum comfort and ergonomics, especially with the ErgoPlus control pod carrier: Using ErgoPlus, the driver can adjust the armrests six ways - forward/back, up/down, tilt left/right. This adaptability, which is unique in the world, is of particular benefit to machinery types in which the operator moves hydraulic control levers or joysticks with both hands for hours at a stretch, in excavators, for instance. Regardless of size, stature and arm length, the driver can always work in maximum comfort and thus without fatigue, back strain and loss of concentration. ErgoPlus is based on a modular platform and can thus be used in a wide variety of vehicle classes and applications worldwide. An easy-entry function, in which the door-side armrest can be folded up completely, is also available for ErgoPlus.

Grammer will also be exhibiting a wide range of seats for construction machinery in all size classes at CSPI. “We’re consistently expanding our global presence in the commercial vehicle seat sector. Japan is a key market for Grammer, especially the construction machinery sector,” says Dr. Andreas Diehl, President Division Commercial Vehicles at Grammer AG. “We’re experiencing a steady increase in interest in our solutions.”

At CSPI, 300 exhibitors, in collaboration with 20 national associations and organizations, will present the latest products and equipment services from the construction and surveying industries.
