50% of all professionals are seated during worktime. That means their motion is restricted.

To maintain the functionality and the load bearing ability of the joints and the intervertebral discs, the ergonomically designed seat should support and promote the movability of the seated person, because good seats result in health protection.

For development and optimization of our products we use a great variety of measuring methods: seat pressure distribution, vibration tests, H-point measuring and measuring seat climate. 

Climatization of seats in commercial vehicles remains an important topic.  In addition to air conditioning, the seat’s climate also significantly affects the driver’s sense of temperature.  Active Seat Climate Control from GRAMMER takes advantage of the beneficial properties of activated charcoal: perspiration that accumulates where the body contacts the seat is removed via the cover material and temporarily stored in a layer of activated charcoal underneath. This keeps the seat’s surface dry, even in the hottest weather.

Beneath the layer of activated charcoal there is a ventilation layer through which cool, dry air flows, removing moisture from the activated charcoal.  Compared to a seat without climate control, the differences are substantial.  The seat’s surface temperature is about 10 percent lower on average and relative humidity is approximately 20 percent less.


From field studies of construction machine operators, we discovered that virtually nobody reads their seat's manual. The end user remains unaware of how many seat functions work, preventing them from using the seat correctly. This prompted us to take an innovative approach, which we call  "Design for Use."

The goal for "Design for Use" is for every operator to quickly and simply assume the ergonomically optimum sitting position with the seat. Consequently, the controls of the MSG75G and MSG65 Series seats are shaped and arranged so that the user intuitively grasps how they work and what they do. It is simple to set the seat to any operator's weight between 100-375 lbs.
