Changes in the Board at Grammer AG

Uwe Wöhner takes over the responsibilities of Martin Grammer

Alois Ponnath new Chief Financial Officer

Amberg, November 6, 2000 — Dipl.-Kfm. Martin Grammer (40), Board member at Grammer AG responsible to date for the automotive equipment product segment, left his position at the Amberg company on October 31, 2000 by mutual agreement. He will, though, remain active for the Group, in particular through his Supervisory Board duties at the Group's subsidiaries in the United States, Mexico and Spain.

Dipl.-Ing. Uwe Wöhner (41) has been appointed to replace Grammer on the Board. Wöhner, who most recently acted as managing director and director of work at TRW Deutschland GmbH, has many years of experience in the automotive equipment industry. At TRW, a technology and service group with global operations, which specializes in high-quality components for the automobile and aerospace industries, Wöhner was responsible, amongst other things, for global engine component production, as well as for the European production locations.

Dipl-Kfm. Alois Ponnath (42) has also been appointed to the Grammer Board. On November 1, he was assigned responsibility for Finance and Accounting, Controlling, Information Technology and Organization. Following six years of employment at a large Munich bank, Ponnath began working at Grammer in 1991. One of his achievements for the company has been to establish an investment controlling department. He was also in charge of the Finance and Treasury Divisions. Most recently, he headed Group Finance and Accounting.

As a result of these changes, the managing body of this globally active manufacturer of seats, seating systems and automobile components has once again grown to four members. On the Board alongside Wöhner and Ponnath are Board Chairman Dr. Bernd Blankenstein (62) and Peter Nagel (53). The latter is in charge of the Driver's Seats Division and Passenger Seats Division.
