Amberg, May 18, 2018 – Grammer AG is the new title partner for the FIA European Truck Racing Championship 2018, which is being held in eight stages. This means that the truck race which was established as a promoter’s cup as part of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship in 2017 will be known as the “Grammer Truck Cup” from 2018.
“The partnership with FIA ETRC impressively supplements our truck activities and the launch of our latest ‘Roadtiger’ retrofit seat generation for trucks. We are proud to be able to share in the enthusiasm for truck races and wish all the participants in the “Grammer Truck Cup” a fair and accident-free competition. We are looking forward to congratulating the winner of the final race on the Circuito del Jarama in San Sebastián, Spain,” says Ralf Hoppe, Grammer AG’s press officer.
As one of the leading international suppliers of components for passenger vehicle interiors and seats for commercial vehicles, Grammer develops innovative seating systems that incorporate the latest scientific research and particularly offer drivers and passengers of commercial vehicles, trucks, buses and trains the greatest possible ergonomics, comfort and safety. All leading commercial vehicle OEMs use Grammer seating systems.
Talking about the new partnership, Georg Fuchs, director of the European Truck Racing Association says, “FIA ETRC is a very good and suitable platform for Grammer. This year, the list of starters is far larger than in 2017 and a whole series of new teams and drivers will be taking part for the first time. We are thrilled to have been able to gain one of leading global automotive component suppliers as a partner that shares our visions and goals. Both brands have the same focus on quality and competitive spirit. Accordingly, we are convinced that Grammer is the perfect namesake for this competition, which will be taking place between May 27 and October 7 this year.”
